We are entering a very exciting time in our life and ministry. We have long felt the call of God upon our lives to address the issues/sins of prejudice and racism as it pertains to our life and world. It is our belief that racism is a violation of the very principles of Christ --- especially the command to love our neighbor as ourselves. We feel compelled, motivated and led to put our energy, talents and time into ministering to people that have been hampered and hindered because they are bound by this sin; and also to those have been harmed and injured because they are the targets of it. We have chosen to address prejudice and racism in an honest, loving, uncompromising biblical and Christian manner. This message is not a popular one amongst the people who need to hear it the most, the body of Christ; the church of God --- judgment truly must begin at the house of God.

Through the Wilderness Cry Ministries and Rhymes Consulting Services we have created, and are currently developing, curriculum that helps individuals, churches and faith-based organizations become more aware of the sins of prejudice and discrimination and to be ready and culturally responsive (Biblically so) to those they serve and come in contact with. Dr. Martin Luther King once said that the most segregated hour in America is Sunday at 11: 00 am. We believe that this is still the case. Is God honored by this fact?  How can we claim to be salt and light if we fail to address this sin and shame?

Equity, discrimination and racism have been the topics of heated debate in our homes, classrooms, workplaces and media. We have HEARD so much about these issues, but have we really THOUGHT about or DEALT with them? No matter where we stand concerning these very important issues, the reality is that we can't ignore them. If we as people of faith are going to aspire to the heights of fairness and equity that we should, then we must be proactive in our approach to these important topics and to truly be proactive, we must be informed, we must gain insight, we must endeavor to be enlightened.

Rhymes Consulting Services was founded 17 years ago with the desire to be an integral part in the informing and aiding of individuals, organizations and institutions in being more culturally proficient. Since 1990 we have become a premier cultural proficiency consulting company. The Christian Cultural Proficiency Institute was born out our work with churches, congregations and faith-based organizations. Our client list is reflective of our vast and diverse society, as we have conducted trainings and presentations for schools and universities, corporations and small businesses, police departments, professional sports, community and youth organizations, human/social services and faith-based organizations and churches.
